SURF CAFE - Social Food

Surf Cafe, "Social Food!" That is pretty much exactly what we're all about.
Having travelled the world as a young chef, working and surfing for seven great years, coming home to Plett and one day opening a restaurant was always going to happen! And two years down the line, what we've created in the Surf Cafe, really makes us feel proud and grateful for the loyal support our regulars have given us!

What we set out to create was a fun, relaxed, feel-good, unpretentious eatery where everyone and anyone can feel comfortable and welcome.

The menu is a collection of favourite simply delicious recipies from destinations like Mexico, Peru and Indonesia, that bring back wonderful memories of surf trips and adventures for anyone who has been there, and conjures up dreams of what they can be like, for those yet to go.

We offer live entertainment as often as we can, and have discovered a wealth of incredibly talented professionals and amateurs hiding out in our special little community. Our Wednesday night 'Open Mike' nights are great for anyone who has ever imagined how they would fare on stage.

Going out should be fun and relaxing and thats what we offer with bright colours, friendly faces, fresh ingredients and an all round chilled vibe! A visit to the surf cafe is just what you need and this seasons great music lineup will keep you coming back for more!

We are open from 9am, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and offer all day internet facilities and although not a hot spot, our wireless connection means you can bring your own laptop to catch up on work or have a business meeting over a great meal and a sneaky cocktail or two.

Surf Cafe is the only venue in Plettenberg Bay that offers REGULAR live music and has many top musicians perform here like Robin Auld, Steve Newman, Wendy Oldfield and of course our local talents like 2Eleven, Offshore jazz band, Johan Ruatenbach and Ben Badenhorst.

The line up over the festive period is definately one to boast about with some of South Africa's top up and coming bands like Stealing Love Jones, Heather Waters and City Bowl Mizers to mention just a few!
